Last week we held another Portfolio Sharing Event at the Art Intersection galleries! During this mid-day event members receive feedback from the public and answer questions about their artwork and upcoming projects. The 2019 NoStrangers Artist Reception had an incredible turn out of friends, family, art lovers, and members of the Art Intersection community. Thank you to all who joined us for a fun filled night highlighting the work by our members. NoStrangers is on display until September 14th.
This year’s All Art Arizona presented exciting work created by both well-known and emerging Arizona artists. Every year we are extremely impressed with the amazing work from our community of local Arizona artists. We are grateful for the endless support we get from this exhibition.
Thank you to those who stopped by to see All Art Arizona on the walls, and those who also voted for their favorite piece in the exhibition! These three popular pieces tied for the Viewers’ Choice Award.
This July session we had a fantastic group of teens eager to dive into the foundation and fundamentals of photography. We are blown away every year with the talent these students display and we hope they continue on with exploring photography.
Another successful opening reception for All Art Arizona! Local artists, friends, families, and art collectors joined us for the night to discuss and admire the diversity in this exhibition. From paintings, photography, sculpture, glass, and mixed media these artists are the representation of talent that comes from all over Arizona.
This two day workshop of tri-color gum printing was a huge success, each and every student that attended left with beautiful images. Thank you to Diana Bloomfield for teaching this amazing process! To learn more about upcoming workshops make sure to check out our Events tab.
Thank you to everyone who spent the evening with us during the Emerge 2019 Artist Reception! It was a night filled with students from across Arizona, families, and photography lovers. This exhibition highlights the dedicated and hard working emerging photographers in our community and we thank everyone who shows their support!

This one day workshop of photopolymer gravure making was packed full of eager to learn students. This trial-and-error process allowed students to created magnificent and unique prints that captured the eye.
This alternative printmaking process translates photographic detail into ink on paper, allowing for more creative freedom, and resulting in unparalleled beauty.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Light Sensitive artist reception! We enjoyed seeing many familiar faces, as well as many brand new ones sharing their work in our galleries for the first time.
It was a night filled with many exciting conversations discussing the variety of alternative processes used to create the work in this exhibition!
As Wikipedia describes it, “street photography is photography conducted for art or enquiry that features unmediated chance encounters and random incidents within public places”.
Neal A. Miller led a street photography workshop covering the range of possibilities and methods used in street photography along with its history, the many concerns, and personal responsibility.
