Cyanotype Fantasy Chandelier
The suspended cyanotype installation is an experiment combining cyanotype printing and architectural perspective. I was also inspired by Traci Marie Lee’s 2013 exhibit at the Corcoran Museum in Washington DC. The challenge is how to make use of a 30ft by 30ft by 15ft. open space. I wanted to construct a 3-dimensional, multi-level installation from cameraless cyanotype prints. The idea: combine the structural forms of colorful, eastern community, outdoor markets and a make-believe “chandelier” as the basic model. The result of our experimental and unique “Cyanotype Fantasy Chandelier.”
