Art Intersection and Scottsdale Public Art host journaling event at Scottsdale Arts Festival

Posted

We are always excited about collaborations with other art venues and Scottsdale Public Art has been one of our favorite organizations to work with. This past weekend, we had the opportunity to spend time enjoying the outdoors at the annual Scottsdale Art Festival, assisting with the 100+ Journals Project.

It was a wonderful way for the public to engage with the arts in a friendly and accessible manner.

People from ages 2 to 82 participated in journaling activities using free-form needlework, rubber-stamping, image transfer, book making and writing prompts all conducted by experienced artists and writers. Visitors to the festival were fascinated with the story behind 1000 Journals

The project provided participants an opportunity to leave their unique creations in the journals for the community to enjoy for years to come. They will be on exhibit at The Scottsdale Public Library.
