The Ten Most Exciting Photographers I Learned About This Year

Mark your calendar now for one of INFOCUS’ most popular annual events! Geoff Dyer, author, photography essayist and writer in residence at USC Los Angeles will discuss the ten photographers he has discovered during the past year whom he thinks have produced the most exciting work he has seen.

During this fun and engaging presentation, Geoff will show images from each photographer and discuss the reasons why they have been chosen. In addition, raffle tickets will be sold at the door for the opportunity to win a museum-quality print by Paulette Tavormina, voted by last year’s audience as their favorite photographer from the group presented by Alan Rapp, last year’s speaker on the same topic.

At the conclusion of Mr. Dyer’s presentation, audience members will once again get to vote on their favorite artist from among his selections, and INFOCUS will purchase a print by that artist to be raffled off at Ten Most in 2017.

This event will be held at Phoenix Art Museum in Whiteman Hall and is free and open to the public. Registration is not required, but your RSVP is requested since seating is limited.
