South Australia to Arizona – Through Each Others Eyes

Australia an ancient continent of many wonders features unique creatures found nowhere else, wave-sculpted granite forms 200’ above the ocean’s edge, the darkest skies you’ll ever see, and friendly colorful people who never fail to entertain. In short, twas a grand place for two lucky Arizonans, Toru Kawana and Kerrick James, to visit and photograph on TEOE’s latest epic exchange.

Paired with Grant Petras and Brad Hodge, for twelve days and nights we roamed the state of South Australia, beaches to outback, villages to their one big city, Adelaide, a palette of beauty and many surprises.This was our brilliant photo op, payback for a similar adventure for our Aussie friends throughout Arizona in September of 2024.

Each of our four prime shooters will exhibit 20 prints in July, 2025, at the HD SOUTH Gallery 4 in Gilbert, with the opening reception on July 5, 6-8 pm. We’ll also show 20 prints, five each from four high school student photographers, two from each state, for our inaugural ‘Through the Eyes of Youth’ program.
