Lookers – Rosalind Shipley MFA Exhibition

Rosalind Shipley, Photographic Artist, presents for your delight and pleasure an exhibition of three-dimensional views taken for the Stereoscope. These views will be accompanied by likenesses of the Young Women Artists who frequent Miss Shipley’s photographic portrait studio. You are cordially invited to have a look.

Shipley is an artist who makes, appropriates, interprets, writes about, and re-contextualizes photographs. She culls imagery from historical archives, personal collections, the internet, and her own practice as a photographer in order to create complex narratives that investigate the way we think about photographs. Shipley will receive her MFA from Arizona State University in 2013.
