Art as a Verb

Creating a Unique Collage Plaque

In this workshop you will spend the morning session creating a small collage using a variety of unique materials and techniques. We will make an inkjet copy of your collage to use as the image for the plaque.  The final collage size is 3” in diameter.

In the afternoon you will learn how to use ball chain to create a textured soldered edge and how to use a lens cutter to cut circles out of glass. You will also learn basic soldering techniques, how to attach a back wire to create a wall plaque, how to patina solder for an aged look, and how to use wax to give solder a lustrous sheen.

Bring images and objects to make your collage. All other materials included.
