Artist Lecture with Diana H. Bloomfield

Please join us for an artist lecture with Diana H. Bloomfield on Friday, April 8 from 6:30 – 8pm. Diana will be discussing her artwork and working methods, including the hand-coated, tri-color gum bichromate process she uses to print her images.

About Diana H. Bloomfield

A fine art photographer for thirty years, Diana has exhibited widely and received numerous awards for her images.

Her photographs have been included in Pinhole Photography: Rediscovering a Historic Technique, (2004), by Eric Renner, and in Robert Hirsch’s Exploring Color Photography Fifth Edition: From Film to Pixels, (2010; 2015). Her gum bichromate and platinum work were also included in Christina Z. Anderson’s Gum Printing and Other Amazing Contact Printing Processes (2013); in Jill Enfield’s Guide to Photographic Alternative Processes: Popular Historical and Contemporary Techniques (2013); and in Christopher James’ The Book of Alternative Photographic Processes. (2015).

Her work has also been included in the Pinhole Journal; The World Journal of Post-Factory Photography; Chinese Photography; The Sun; Diffusion; The HAND Magazine; North Carolina Literary Review; and SxSE (South x Southeast). She is also a contributing writer for Don’t Take Pictures.”

A native North Carolinian, Diana currently lives and works in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she received her MA in English Literature and Creative Writing from North Carolina State University. Her work is represented by Tilt Gallery, located in Scottsdale, Arizona
