Digital

Adobe Lightroom Workshop

This 3-session workshop gives you hands-on experience in the digital lab using Lightroom emphasizing the Library and Develop modules. In the first two sessions you work with supplied images while learning the features of Lightroom and the third session is an open lab where you can work on your own images with guidance from the instructor.

Lightroom accommodates a workflow process for managing and editing collections of images, especially raw images. In the Library Module you will organize your photos so that you can easily find every one of them in the future.  Organization includes keyword tags, collections, and file naming.  Editing in the Develop Module is fast, efficient, and an easy way to bring out an image’s full potential. Lightroom is the digital version of developing and printing in the darkroom.

Each student works on their own iMac computer with a full keyboard and 3-button mouse. Lightroom for PC and Mac is very similar so PC users should not be concerned about learning on a Mac. You can bring your own laptop with Lightroom 4 already loaded and ready to use.
