SUMMARY:Summer Art and Photography Classes for Ages 9 - 13
DESCRIPTION:This summer\, students\, ages 9 through 13\, can join the creative team at Art Intersection for an afternoon of making art in our Summer Youth Art Program. \nA different art form will be explored every Tuesday in June and July (except\, no class on July 1). Join us for one\, or all\, of the classes and go home with a finished piece of art each week\, with all materials included in the price. \nTo pay for these classes buy a bundle of all 8 for $140\, or click on the individual class and pay $20 within 24-hours of the class. You can drop-in to the class for $25 and pay at Art Intersection that day before the start of the class. \nNature Printing – June 3\nUse blue light-sensitive chemistry\, the sun\, and found botanicals and objects to create a beautiful blue-toned one-of-a-kind piece of art. All materials included\, but students are welcome to bring items from home to use in their artwork. \nPhotography Scavenger Hunt – June 10\nEnhance your digital photography by using your creativity and a point-and-shoot camera to explore the Heritage Court building in search of the items on your list. Bring your own camera OR use one of ours and take home a CD of your images. \nMake Art – June 17\nCome play with Art Intersection’s art supplies to create a unique mixed media piece of art. Learn simple collaging techniques to incorporate into your work and leave with a finished piece. All materials included\, but students are welcome to bring items from home to use in their artwork. \nDrawing – June 24\nCome discover your inner artist with graphite\, charcoal\, and ink as you learn new drawing techniques to improve your creativity. Take home your artwork. \nSelf-Portraits – July 8\nPut yourself in front of the camera and explore portrait photography with Art Intersection’s equipment. Learn more about self-portraits and use lighting and props to create your one-of-a-kind portrait. Each student will take home 2 finished 5”x7” prints. \nPainting with Light – July 15\nSee how photography allows you to experiment with time and light to draw colorful images in thin air. Each student will take home two finalized 5″ x 7” prints of the light images they created. \nMetals Design – July 22\nLearn to form metal wire into creative designs and use stones for jewelry or miniature sculptures. Make wearable art or something for your shelf in this fun metals class! All materials included. \nArt Book – July 29\nLearn to make your own book to store notes\, drawings\, photos\, or your work from summer camp in. You will have time to embellish and decorate your final design. All materials included.

SUMMARY:Taking Your Work to the Next Level for Teens 16 - 18
DESCRIPTION:In this advanced session we will go beyond clicking the shutter to grow a body of work. Through discussion about images and goals\, we will help edit and develop each individual’s artwork during the camp. \nLearn different printing and presentation styles to create accomplished work. Digital Lab and Wet Lab time will be available each day to help develop projects. Discover all of the possibilities to bring your art to life! Each student will leave with a portfolio of their artwork and will be featured in an online exhibition at artintersection.com. Snacks provided. \nStudents should have some photography work already done on their own OR have taken an Advanced Level camp at Art Intersection. \n \nThere is a price savings when you enroll a student in more than one teen photography class; Exploring Photography\, Advanced Photography\, and Taking Your Work to the Next Level. \n\n\nOne class tuition\, $180\nTwo class tuition\, $330 ($30 discount)\nThree class tuition\, $480 ($60 discount)\n\nThese bundled prices cannot be paid on our website. If you are interested in more than one class for a student\, call 480-361-1118 to register and pay for a two or three class bundle. This special pricing is only offered in advance of the class and on a per student basis.
