DESCRIPTION:Off the Wall\nOff the Wall is a special exhibition and silent auction in which you can view and bid on works from local and national artists\, gifts from local vendors\, and other special opportunities and services! In this annual fundraising exhibition all winning bidders will take their purchased artwork off the wall. \nFundraising to Support Community Programs\nProceeds from this event fund educational programing including free lectures and community events that are open to the public\, and Emerge\, our annual student photography exhibition. \nExhibition\nOff the Wall will be on view September 13 – October 14\, 2017.  \n \nSilent Auction\nDon’t miss out on this unique opportunity to bid on your favorite artwork(s) and take it off the wall for your own collection or as a unique gift for someone special in your life! \nStarting September 13\, you can bid on any artwork(s) that catches your eye throughout the exhibition\, or purchase it before the auction with a buy-it-now price. Final bidding closes during the silent auction evening on Saturday\, October 14 from 6:30 – 8:30pm. \nBids may be made in person in the gallery\, or by email. Email bids will be accepted until midnight October 13\, 2017. The online gallery lists the “Buy-It-Now” price allowing you to purchase an auction item at any time. \n \nJoin us at our final bidding event on Saturday\, October 14\, 6:30 to 8:30pm for hors d’oeuvres\, refreshments\, door prizes\, and raffles\, MC’d by painter and photographer Andy Burgess. SUMMARY:Artist Lecture with Jace Becker
DESCRIPTION:Join us Friday\, September 29 for an Artist Lecture with Phoenix-based artist Jace Becker! Jace will speak about his growth as an artist and how his artistic journey led him to the process of Mordançage\, as well as the history of the process and others who have contributed to its evolution. Click here for more details and to register. \nAbout Jace\nJace earned degrees in photography and anthropology from Montana State University\, and is currently a 3rd year MFA candidate in Photography at Arizona State. His work focuses on the cultural landscape\, specifically social and self-exploration\, issues of identity\, vulnerability\, and the darker sides of introspection. His area of emphasis is in alternative processes.
