Spagnoli: Contemporary Daguerreotypes and Local Stories
The East Gallery shows Contemporary Daguerreotypes and selected works of Local Stories by Jerry Spagnoli. While visiting Arizona Mr. Spagnoli will lead a two day Daguerreotype workshop, join the opening of this exhibition, and give an INFOCUS lecture at the Phoenix Art Museum.
Be sure to visit this exhibit and experience the unique visual qualities and molecular level detail unique found in these large, 11″ x 14″, contemporary Daguerreotypes.
Below are images from Local Stories which range in size from 30″ x 40″ to as large as 56″ x 44″. Capturing the sun on the horizon in each of these prints in the series required the use of a custom built 8″ x 10″ camera and a special lens.
