DESCRIPTION:Home\, it is at once a noun and an adverb — physically and metaphorically it is a dwelling. \nWe all have a place we call home. Home is where we are from or where we go to – a place we run from or run to. It can be a harbor or a battlefield. It holds space for memory\, family\, artifact\, evidence – our collective cultural baggage. Home Bound\, curated by Carol Panaro-Smith\, explores the depth of our relationship with home. \nMaya Angelou writes in her book\, Letter to My Daughter “…I believe that one carries the shadows\, the dreams\, the fears and dragons of home under one’s skin\, at the extreme corners of one’s eyes and possibly in the gristle of the earlobe. “ \nIn this exhibition\, a selected group of artists look at home and all the ghosts of memory that inhabit it. \n– Daniel Coburn\n– Emily Matyas\n– Kristin Bedford\n– Joshua White\n– Angela Bacon-Kidwell\n– Kelsey Vance\n– Christina Z. Anderson\n– Liz Steketee \nThese artists use the photographic medium to reveal their personal perspectives on home.
