Emerge 2013 – Exhibition of Arizona Student Photography
Art Intersection presents an exhibition of photography from student artists enrolled fulltime in an Arizona high school, college, art school, or university to submit work for consideration in Emerge, an Arizona juried exhibition. As part of our mission to support emerging artists, we offer student artists an opportunity to show their work in the Galleries at Art Intersection.
This is a juried show with three cash prizes, $250 for Best in Show, $100 for Best in Show High School Student, and $100 for Best in Show College, Art School, or University Student.
David Emitt Adams, the Art Intersection artist in residence, will jury submissions. He is an emerging photographer based in Tempe, Arizona. He recently received his Master of Fine Arts degree from Arizona State University and earned his Bachelors of Fine Art degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
David is gaining national and international attention as an artist, whose current practice engages historical media. His work has been exhibited throughout the United States and abroad, including established institutions such as the SOHO Photo Gallery in New York City and The Studio in London, England.
David was selected for the prestigious Lens Culture International Exposure Award 2011 and most recently, was awarded the Freestyle Crystal Apple Award for Outstanding Achievement in Black and White Photography.
