To be added to a waiting list\, please email info@artintersection.com. \nEver wanted to learn how to make prints in the darkroom\, but been discouraged by the complicated process? Or taken that perfect shot with your phone or digital camera and wanted to transform it into a memorable keepsake? In this quick workshop you will learn how to make gelatin silver (black and white) prints from your digital files. Using the Quad Tone RIP digital printing software\, we will make digital negatives and use them to make beautiful black and white prints in the darkroom! \nDigital negatives\, widely used in contemporary alternative process printing\, are images printed by an inkjet printer on transparent material\, then exposed on top of a light-sensitive material to create a finished print. Before printing\, images must be edited so that the produced negative will be tailored to the specifications of the process. In this workshop\, we will teach you how to make digital negatives of your digital files specifically for gelatin silver printing. \nEach participant will get to make two digital negatives and take home two to four gelatin silver prints of their images. Any digital image file will work\, whether created by a phone\, camera\, or scanner. All materials\, including darkroom paper and inkjet transparencies\, will be provided by Art Intersection.
