Through Each Others Eyes: 1st Arizona – Alberta Exchanges 2012

Through Each Others Eyes™

Through Each Others Eyes™ photographer Colleen Miniuk-Sperry began working to bring about the exchange three years ago, exploring possibilities with friends and photographers in Calgary, Alberta—one of Phoenix’s 10 sister cities.  In January TEOE invited Peter Carroll of Sherwood Park, a professional photographer specializing in stock, landscape, and portrait photography, and Royce Howland, a landscape and nature photographer based in Calgary, to shoot in Arizona for this first exchange.  Traveling to Canada for the exchange were Colleen, who supports a wide range of assignments for editorial, fine art, and stock clients, and Ken Ross, an independent commercial photographer who specializes in travel/location, people, and corporate photography.  The exhibit will contain 20 images from each photographer, varying in sizes from 16 x 20-inches  to 20 x 24-inches.

Canada marks the 10th country explored by Through Each Others Eyes™ photographers since the organization began nearly 25 years ago.  Since 1988, 137 photographers have participated in Through Each Others Eyes™ photo exchanges, producing exhibitions that have been viewed by more than two million people.  In addition, the photographers of Through Each Others Eyes™ participate in social and educational projects around the globe.  To learn more, visit the website at www.teoe.org.

The reception for the photographers will be held Wednesday, November 7, from 7–9pm at the gallery.
