Artist Statement

Currently Fred is working on two still image projects. He is exploring interior and exterior spaces of downtown Phoenix, including it’s architecture, light and lifestyle condition of older mid-century blended with the new. He is also working on a series of images expressing the diversity of the southwest landscape from ponderosa pine forests, old missions and early frontier town remnants to high elevation creeks and the striking sonoran desert. Fred is using film to capture this imagery and makes silver gelatin prints at Art Intersection in Gilbert, Az. as well printing pigment ink prints at his home studio in downtown Phoenix.
