Artist Statement
Professionally, I spent 25 years at AT&T as a corporate annual report/editorial photographer, after a short retirement I took a position as the photographer at Oakland University in Rochester Michigan.
At 45 I decided to get a fine art degree and was accepted into the photography program at Center for Creative Studies, College of Art and Design in Detroit Michigan. For my senior thesis I chose the archaic process of “carbon printing”. All my professors discouraged me saying that only a handful of people in the world knew the process, I was told I was doomed to catastrophic failure.
I succeeded, and it has been my passion in photography ever since.
